Dear Ladies and Gentlemen
Globalization of the business, Investments on the international scale are placing the new requirements towards the accountants and financiers. Now their task is not just to state the past in the financial terms, but also to forecast the future, to implement the optimization of the financial life of the enterprise. Today it concerns not only the Financial Directors of the large companies, it also concerns the Financial Managers of the medium and even small companies. The significance of the financial management in business is growing exponentially. The Financial Manager is quickly becoming the member of the management team on its own right, actively participating in planning, development and implementation of the competitive strategy of the company.
I am glad, that professional experience in the area of financial management gained in the West now is being shared with the specialists throughout the Eastern Europe. I visit these parts of the world quite often and I witness the fast development of the economies of these countries. I see how Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries are becoming the organic part of the world economy, integrating in it at high speed.
I hope that the Institute of Certified financial Management will become the organization, which would help the financial specialists of the Eastern Europe to become full members of the world community of the professionals , to exchange their views and share their experience with western colleagues, and that it will make a significant impact on the prosperous development of their countries.
