The ICFM Annual Meeting is held in Castle Highclere in the UK. Castle Highclere is located in Berkshire
and became known throughout the world when its owner, Lord Carnarvon, in 1922, along with Howard
Carter, found the mummy of Tutankhamen (King Tut). In a meeting attended by representatives of
financial circles from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Latvia and Estonia, arriving guests were
welcomed by Lady Carnarvon, owner of the Castle and author of the famous book about the discovery
made by her famous ancestor. The dinner also was attended by the ICFM patron, His Royal Highness
Prince Michael of Kent, the ICFM Director Garry Carter, along with his wife and son, and other members
of the ICFM. After the reception and gala dinner, Prince Michael presented the award nominations and
made welcoming remarks to the audience in Russian.
During their visit to the UK, delegates also participated in meetings in London with representatives of the
IAS Board and representatives of the London Stock Exchange.
