Prince Michael of Kent awarded with Order of FriendshipOn 4 November, during a reception in the Kremlin to mark the National Unity day, President Dmitry Medvedev presented HRH Prince Michael of Kent, among others, with the Order of Friendship as recognition of his contribution to the strengthening of friendship and co-operation with Russia. Prince Michael is a patron of a number of charity projects in Russia. |

The Institute of Certified Financial Managers (ICFM) was founded by the largest accounting organization in the world - The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB Global) -- and one of the oldest professional bodies in the UK - The Institute of Commerce.
The representative of the British royal family - His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent – kindly agreed to become the patron of the ICFM. Speaking at the annual ICFM dinner at the Highclere Castle on the 15 of December, 2008, Prince Michael expressed confidence that the ICFM will take its distinguished place among the professional organizations representing the interests of financial managers and directors.
The popularity of the ICFM is growing rapidly. The dinner was attended by representatives from 6 East European countries: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Latvia and Estonia.
Qualification programs developed by ICFM experts for these countries are being represented locally by ICFM regional partners. The main aim of ICFM activities is educating and uniting financial managers and directors, as well as all professionals in the field of financial management.
Being a professional organization, the ICFM is offering a step-by-step qualification programme for professional development:

Professionals whose knowledge and experience meet the requirements of the ICFM have the right to become members. The ICFM Membership offers three levels:

Through its regional partners, the ICFM offers its members a system of continuous professional development.
At the annual ICFM dinner, which takes place in the UK at the end of each year, traditionally we summarize the results of our work and reward those who contributed to the success of the ICFM.
Ceremonial presentation of awards is held annually in the following categories:
- Best Training Center of the Year - Best Student of the Year - Best Teacher of the Year - Best Financial Manager of the Year - Achievement in the Promotion of the Profession of Financial Manager
